**FIRST LEED Inspection Passed
Newport, RI - Tuesday 01.12.2010 Atlantic Building passed the first LEED certification inspection conducted by CSG our LEED rater for the project.
The inspection was similar to a traditional foundation inspection conducted by the local building official in that the work was confirmed completed according to plan, however, the LEED inspections also evaluate site conditions and material waste. Throughout the build process the LEED program requires all material and soil remain contained within the site, with continual, unannounced site inspections this requires the site to be clean and orderly all day everyday.
The foundation was completed using Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF's), giving the homes foundation a significantly higher R-value than we would otherwise obtain.
Please visit www.AtlanticQuality.com/Green/Spring.com for additional information on the project and the LEED for Homes certification program.
